Meet Our Founder
Maya Chandra is a communications specialist and filmmaker who has been in the game for over 28 years. She’s a trailblazing woman in Karnataka, and a true specialist in her field and won several international awards and recognitions. With a Masters degree in Mass Communication and video filmmaking from Emerson College, Boston, and experience at the prestigious Columbia Broadcasting Service, Maya knows her stuff. She returned to Bangalore to share her talents with the world, and she’s been making waves ever since. So if you’re in need of some top-notch films, Maya’s your choice!
Once upon a time, when the corporate film industry was just a baby, Maya Chandra decided it was the perfect time to make her mark. She started out as an editor (one of the only ladies in the biz!) and then moved on to producing corporate films. Her creative approach to filmmaking earned her some pretty big-name clients, and before she knew it, she was running her own company, MAYA
But Maya and the team at MAYA Films aren’t just focused on churning out the same old boring corporate videos. With the latest technology and top-notch services, MAYA quickly became known for its killer corporate films and end-to-end video film production services.
The state government even took notice and gave Maya a chance to work on government and political communications. And if that wasn’t enough, she also tackled the healthcare industry, pioneering initiatives in hospital and healthcare communications and exploring all other possible domains. Today, this passionate team has 25 years of experience and is still breaking new ground with every project. Talk about a boss!
Lights, camera, action! Maya Films has been shaking things up in the filmmaking industry for over 25 years! With over 650 films delivered and 250 films created for various government departments, premier events, and global roadshows, we’ve become the go-to filmmakers for prestigious government projects!
We’re the trailblazers of the government sector, setting the bar high with our creative and innovative approach to Government Communications. But we didn’t stop there! Oh no, we made history with the first-ever branding film for the State Government – “The Power of Bangalore – Make IT Yours,” a theme that received global recognition! It propelled “Brand Bangalore” and showcased the city as a business-friendly, cosmopolitan destination, attractive to global investors!
We even created a series of films promoting the focus sectors of Business Process Outsourcing, Biotechnology, and showcasing the secondary cities of Hubli-Dharwad, Mangalore, and Mysore!
We’ve been the backbone of brand building for the Infrastructure Development Department, Government of Karnataka. We were on a roll, establishing positive communication through print and films that attracted investors to the Global Investors Meet 2012.
Our notable films include the film on the founder of Banglore- Kempegowda for the renaming of the Bangalore International Airport to Kempegowda International Airport! We also conceptualized television campaigns for Right To Education (RTE) with Power Star Puneet Rajkumar, Road Safety Campaign with Actor Yash, and the Aadhar Card enrollment with Actor Sudeep!
But wait, there’s more! We created a documentary for the launch of the Dr. Rajkumar Memorial by the Government of Karnataka and produced over 25 biopics of renowned personalities! We even produced a historical documentary on the 75 years of Kannada Cinema!
Maya Films has been associated with numerous prestigious events like IT.com/.in, Asia’s premier IT event from 2001-2008, where we created curtain raiser films, road show films, and television commercials, branding and marketing the event – the most favored event for global IT giants
Our innovative approach and extensive experience in the field of filmmaking have made us the preferred choice for government and private projects. We’re committed to delivering films that exceed expectations and leave a lasting impact on the audience. So, come on, give us a call, and let’s make movie magic happen!
